Yep, guys, I’m back in class and happy to be there. I’m currently taking an acting/audition class called The Audition Lab. The class is taught by long-time casting director Phaedra Harris. What I like most about this class is Ms. Harris. She is a straightforward tell-it-like it is acting teacher. She will let you know right away whether the choices you’re making are working or not. This class will prepare you for every type of audition. She teaches you strong audition techniques to win the room, to score the role. In the class, you will also learn how to personalize each audition, and how to bring something unique to the character that only you can do. You’ll learn how to stand out in every audition.
Another great thing I like about this class is that at the end of it, we may get an opportunity to meet with an agent or a casting director. Ms. Harris will only invite an industry guest if she feels the class is ready to do so. All of us are working hard to bring our A game. It’s a great opportunity to be able to show a casting director or agent all the skills we’ve learned over the few months in class. So far the class is going great, a lot of work, and new sides to learn every week but I’m enjoying the challenge. I’m glad I found a great audition class. I’m looking forward to the following weeks to come.
